Around 40% of the money raised by the Cancer Fund is invested in supporting staff through training and development, improving staff welfare and the working environment.
We are keen to hear about funding opportunities to improve cancer care, treatment, and the staff and patient experience within UCLH cancer services. Whether it's purchasing equipment, attending a training course or a conference, or a new research project, please share your ideas with us.
We encourage all staff within the cancer division at UCLH to submit funding applications.
We can fund the following:
- Equipment (medical and non-medical), furnishings, refurbishments for staff and patient spaces, and any other items or projects that benefit patients and patient care which can’t be funded via other sources.
- Research projects that seek to bring direct benefit to cancer patients, and will directly translate into service without requiring further research after the completed project. The applicants must seek approval and authorisation from all the relevant departments and governing bodies before applying.
- Staff training, courses, and conferences which enable improvements to patient care and experience or staff well-being.
